Thought for the Day – L. Tomlin on Slowing Down

For fast-acting relief try slowing down.”- Lily Tomlin

Is it just me or do people seem to be more anxious than they used to be? Maybe it’s the result of recession fatigue. A sales friend of mine recently told me that he’s working an average of two more hours each day just to keep pace with last year’s performance. And his fatigue showed. Unchecked, it may land him in the hospital. If recession fatigue is wearing you down, take a few deep breaths and a long slow walk to bring some fast acting relief to your day.

Your thoughts? Have you been running at a faster paster pace than normal?

Yes, but it’s becoming the new normal. Good reminder. Making and taking the time to rest is one of the biggest challenges we face in our culture today… particularly those of us who are prone to be hard-working, over-achieving perfectionists. Thanks, Dad. :)
