“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.”- Proverbs 15:22 (NIV)
Leaders change their world. The smartest ones start with themselves.
And they don’t do it alone. They surround themselves with people who share their desire to ignite change; who support their vision, but are also not so enamored with the leader that they are unwilling to challenge their plans.

That kind of leader excites me. They’re on a path of constant improvement for their organizations and for themselves. I have the privilege of coaching and advising some pretty amazing leaders in their professional and personal endeavors. As principal owner of Lumina Consulting Group, I’ve serve on the advisory and fiduciary boards of several exciting technology firms as well the following non-profits:
NCMM, the National Coalition of Ministries to Men, is a non-profit umbrella organization comprised of Christian ministries and organizations committed to the development and discipleship of men across America. More than eighty organizations, representing more than half of the churches in America, are members of the NCMM, for which I serve as Vice-president of the board.
Amnion Crisis Pregnancy Center, is a Twin Cities-based non-profit organization providing free pregnancy tests, counseling services and other life-affirming services to women and their families facing the crisis of an unwanted pregnancy. Their abstinence-based educational programs have been well received among public and private school audiences. Since 1990, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the co-founder, first board chairman, and now as a member of their strategic advisory counsel.
