“You’re the best.” Nothing stands out like being pronounced the best. We love hearing those words so often strive to achieve that status.
Yet, despite all the culture cues, awards and measuring systems, being the best isn’t good enough.
In this week’s episode of the Reinventure Me podcast, my co-host Armin Assadi explore the cultural messages that propel us to seek being the best. We discuss Why being the best isn’t good enough and how that pursuit can actually harm us in four ways. Instead of seeking a grade from others, take the advice from a Garmin ad and “beat yesterday.”
It’s our desire that this episode will give you an opportunity to examine the motivations of your pursuits and to realign them to more worthy objectives. Find our latest show on the web or on iTunes and Stitcher Radio.
