Thought for the Day – M. Berle on Laughter

Laughter is an instant vacation.– Milton Berle

When was the last time you had a really good laugh? The kind that makes your side hurt and causes others to join in with you? Mine came just the other day. We were watching the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, a silly animated story about food raining down upon an island town—the consequence a young inventor’s desperate attempt to earn his father’s approval. For some reason, the scene of the world’s largest sardine in an oversized fishbowl really cracked me up. I hadn’t laughed that hard in a long time. It was laughter out of proportion. I noticed it—and laughing along with me, my family noticed it too. Instantly we had taken a nice family vacation.

Your thoughts? When was the last time you had an instant vacation?
