We’ve all seen messy leadership transitions. Unfortunately, some of the worst occur in our churches.
That’s why when truly remarkable transitions occur, they deserve our attention, for there’s something in it for all of us to learn from.
In this week’s episode of the Reinventure Me podcast, I have the privilege of interviewing Pastor Roger Thompson of Berean Baptist Church. At his own initiation, Roger discerned it was time to move on as a leader and handed the baton to a next generation leader.
As a close friend, I had a front row seat to Roger’s thinking about his transition over the past few years. Now he shares publicly some of the processing he did along the way. Regardless of what kind of leadership position you’re in, I think you’ll find some nuggets from our discussion to use in your own life.
