Why confidence matters [podcast]

It’s been almost twenty years since I left the corporate world behind to set out as a consultant. I often get asked by others considering a similar leap what makes a successful consultant. My answer is two-fold: competence and confidence.

By far, it’s the latter that more often keeps people from taking the plunge.

Why confidence matters

In our latest episode of the Reinventure Me podcast, my co-host Armin Assadi and I explore why confidence matters to any new venture you may be considering. We talk about marks of confidence, how to boost it if it’s low and how to keep it from morphing into overconfidence or cockiness.

Share this episode with anyone you know who may be considering going out on their own—or even starting out in a new career—or listen to it yourself so that you don’t become “one of those guys.” Our latest show, Why confidence matters can be found on the web or on iTunes and Stitcher Radio.

What are some of the ways you’ve bolstered your confidence when it was lacking?
