Over the course of my career, I’ve driven myself to burnout many times. It’s not a good thing. I suffer and so do those who have to live and work with me.
In this week’s episode of the Reinventure Me podcast, my co-host Armin Assadi and discuss burnout and how it affects us. The deep exhaustion that comes from pushing hard for a long time weakens our ability to think clearly. We believe we need to push even harder and our self-care suffers—and so do those we share our lives with. Our show, Your burnout recovery plan, discusses the causes and symptoms of burnout. We offer a short assessment to know if you might be heading toward burnout and present a set of steps you can take to recover from or reverse the effects of burnout.
If you’re suffering from burnout, or know someone who is, give this show a listen and let us know some of the steps you’ve taken to avoid or recover from it in your own life. Find it on the web or on iTunes and Stitcher Radio.
